This week at Rosendale we will be taking part in Safer Internet Day 2019.
Safer Internet Day 2019 will be celebrated globally with the theme: Together for a better internet.
UK Safer Internet Centre also provide resources for parents and carers which are available here: https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/safer-internet-day-2019/education-packs/activities-parents-and-carers
Throughout the course of the school year, we provide our children with the awareness and knowledge they need in order to recognise and avoid dangerous, destructive, or unlawful behaviour and to respond appropriately.
We would like to remind you that Rosendale Primary School has an online safety group. If you have any online safety queries or concerns please email esafety and a member of staff will contact you to offer advice or support.
It is useful to continue to have a conversation with your child regularly about safe internet practice.
Internet Matters – Advice for parents for online safety. Includes interactive guide on securing different devices.
Parent Zone – Advice site for parents. Parent zone gathers expert advice from across the internet.
CEOP – Police unit responsible for online child protection
https://www.commonsensemedia.org – Provides advice and guidance about specific apps your child might use at home.
